The Education System
This is the Education System most school age children follow until age twenty.
Written by the South's Government
In the schooling portion of their life, citizens will attend two of three facilities. These facilities are regulated to provide the correct education based on your career path – Government Position, or Labor Worker.
The child work day begins at 8:00 a.m. for all students and ends at 5:00 p.m., not dependent on their facility. The only home based alternative in education training is that students at the Labor Skills Center are required thirty minutes on a specialized weight machine rather than a treadmill.
Attent-Care -
Attent-Care’s purpose is to care for small children whilst their parents work in their respective career. There is one child per parent.
Unlike the other two facilities, Attent-Care is not centered on education, though students are expected to learn English, Social Comfort, Southern Rules, and basic maths.
Children attend Attent-Care from birth until seven years, after which they either go to the Education Center or the Labor Skills Center.
The Education Center -
The Education Center is for intelligent students planning on serving in a government position.
To attend The Education Center, you must:
- Have respect for the rules, regulations and Social Comfort.
- Learned all required material in Attent-Care and show a yearning for the absorption of information
- Come from a Southern District family.
In the Education Center, students will choose a career path from available options (or, if necessary, have one chosen for them) which they follow throughout the rest of their schooling age. Education services begin at 8:00 a.m. and retire at 4:00 p.m. before students return home by Edu-Trams at 5:00 p.m.
What does an Education Center schedule look like?
During your first 4 years in the Education Center, you learn with this schedule:
- 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Language and Grammar
Students must become proficient in English: reading, writing and grammar.
- 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Maths and Logic
Students must become proficient in basic Algebra and Geometry.
- 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Social Comfort and Regulations
Students must become proficient in the rules of the South and how to avoid Social discomfort with the absence of communication. Also, students will learn the history and social conditions of the South.
- 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Midday Meal
Students are served a hearty and nutritious meal to fuel their learning.
- 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Natural Sciences
Students must become proficient in the Natural Sciences: basic (not to be confused with basicity) Chemistry, Physics, Earth Sciences and Microbial Studies.
- 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Media Consumption Period
Students are allowed to consume government mandated books for their leisure or study.
- 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Wind Down Period (Study Hall)
Students are allowed to begin gathering their objects and rest until they must return home.
This schedule is to aid in balancing student skills and preparing them for their career path.
By age eleven, you must choose your career path, and afterwards, your schedule becomes more refined to your field of focus.
The Labor Skills Center -
The Labor Skills Center is for students that do not belong in the Education Center and will serve a Labor Worker position.
To attend The Labor Skills Center, you either:
- Do not possess passion for the consumption of knowledge.
- Come from a Northern District Family.
- Have passion for physical exertion.
- Do not respect rules, regulations and Social Comfort.
Similarly to The Education Center, you will also join a career path, though it is more focused on physical exertion and mental exertion instead of leadership and mental strength. Your career path is chosen for you two years after entering the facility, giving time for your strengths to be observed.
In those two years, a schedule would look like this before becoming refined:
- 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Language and Grammar
Students must become very familiar with English reading, writing and grammar.
- 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Maths and Logic
Students must become very familiar with basic Geometry and variable study.
- 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - Social Comfort and Regulations
Students must become proficient in the rules of the South and how to avoid Social discomfort with the absence of communication. Also, students will learn the history and social conditions of the South.
- 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Natural Sciences
Students must become very familiar with Natural Sciences: basic (not to be confused with basicity) Physics, and Earth Sciences.
- 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Midday Meal
Students are served a hearty and nutritious meal to fuel their learning.
- 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Physical Exertion Study
Students must become proficient with the inner workings of the body and how they relate to exercise. Also, students must show proficiency in types of exercise.
- 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Career Simulation
Each work week, a different labor career is chosen and students are required to apply and test their skills to a simulation of the experience of that particular career.
- 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Wind Down Period
Students are allowed to begin gathering their objects and rest until they must return home.
If you show great love for knowledge or regain your ability to follow rules or regulations, on rare occasions, students after these two years will advance to the Education Center.
*School age students (0-20) are exempt from termination for breaking master rules, except for outside contact and communication technology. Students will still receive punishment for crimes, but they will not be put to death.*
Teachers -
The teaching position is a government position with rigorous social training and high development in all fields of study. However, teachers may only teach one subject.
Parents -
Whilst in the Labor Skills Center or Education Center, you will be matched to a spouse if you are of want. If the child quota has not been met, you will be assigned one anyway. When you recieve a spouce after career training, you must create one child before sterilization.

What is 'Social Comfort'?
With gratitude towards a recent communication, Social Comfort is the act of prioritzing avoiding akwardness and confusion, either by being very, very careful or avoiding conversation alltogether.
What does it mean "...dependent on... race...?
Yes, the South has progressed, but not much. The South was the last country to abolish slavery in 1921, when they started depending on trade, which was blocked due to their bad habits. 1921 is seen as the pivotal shift between a free market and a government controlled economy, though very very slowly. Anyways, because of this lack of pressure and progress, the South is still an incredibly racist country, with many laws in place, such as this one, to ensure African-Americans couldn't live to their full potential (in the South at least). Basically, this is describing a law banning African-Americans to attend The Education Center, though it is stated discretly.
What is a 'Northern District Family' and a 'Southern District Family.'
This ia also mentioning a racist law. This law, splits each Permunity into two districts, in which the Northern one is not as intelligent as the Southern, basically disqualifing Northern District Familes to have kids in the Education Center. Sadly, the hard working myth is a big phony. In reality, the whole Permunity is segregated down the middle, whith African Americans occupying the North.
